Tyrese Gibson Kind Of Apologized For His Sexist Comments

Tyrese Gibson, fashion model, and now mostly known as the actor from the “Fast and Furious” movies did an interview with BET stating:

“Sluts, skeezers, hoes, tramps and overly aggressive promiscuous women” who are “never without a man because they don’t have no standards. They’re ready to have sex with any and everything that want to have sex with them.”

He wanted women to “hold out until God sends you what’s yours”.

“You have women that are active out in these streets, they’re going to lunches and dinners every night. Private planes, mega yachts, it’s cracking. They’re never without. However, it comes with a cost, you gonna put a lot of miles on yourself down there, come on.”

First and for most his delivery was all wrong. It’s how he said it and what words he used. As soon as he starting using the degrading labels, men have given “loose” women, is where he lost me. Why aren’t men given these nasty names for being loose? He also stated women get mileage down there but what about men who spread there legs for anyone? Are they not gaining mileage?

There is nothing wrong with women who have been single and concentrating on themselves. Whether it be school, career or just wanting have alone time, being single is nothing to feel down about. No need to compare yourself to women or men who constantly have someone, as if having someone defines YOU. You are still your own person.  As long as people understand the reason behind their actions.

Tyrese received a lot of negative feed back, so this is his apology in short:

“My mother taught me better than this….. lesson learned in life you will learn that It’s not always “what” you say, it’s the “how” we choose to say it. For the record I’m far from a misogynist, a male chauvinist or flat out mean….. My intentions were there but my delivery fucking horrible…. And clearly all the way off…. And for that I sincerely apologize to all of the ladies… Even after this apology…. Some may likely decide to NOT forgive me…. Time and consistency heals all wounds…. Although I’ve been consistently for years speaking on these topics and some of the same words in my message, I have never experienced what I am experiencing right now…I want to truly say that I’m sorry, I’m not APOLOGIZING in an effort to be politically correct, I apologize as a man first for the things that I’ve recently said about choices women have the right to make, for the terms that I’ve used and the way I’ve come across. I was raised to think and feel certain ways, and I’m learning new things that combat those messages…”

I think as a grown man he should have already known better. If he doesn’t know now, he never really will. He still stands by what he was saying, whatever it was, he didn’t really explain what he really meant. He still seems like a male chauvinist. He probably thinks that because he has made it big and is a millionaire that he has the secret to life. Lets be clear, he got to where he got to because of his looks.

How can you not understand that your famous and on social media with a lot of followers, that people won’t have their reactions to what your are saying. It seems naive!

Nicki Minaj Said A Whole Lot Of Stupid Things At Her BET Award Speech And Disses Iggy Azalea

Nicki Minaj accepted an award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET award show. Nicki Minaj, in her speech, said “When Nicki Minaj spits, Nicki Minaj wrote it”. Then she poses to her side profile showing her butt and puts on a slight stank face. Then she keeps saying “No No shade, No shade”. Here is her whole speech:
“You guys this is always very very emotional for me because this is my fifth year winning this award. And thank You , Thank You. I don’t take it for granted, I really don’t. I thank God that I’ve been placed in a position to do something and represent women in a culture that is soo male driven. And I want you to know this, I’m working on an album that’s called the Pinkman it comes out before the year ends, but that’s not a plug but it’s a plug. But my point is what I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is that When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it. And No No No No No No shade, No No shade. No No shade. I used to sit in the studio with Wayne and I would literally take sometimes three, four days to write a verse and one day he said ‘no you can’t be taking all them days to write a verse, you gotta write your verse right here in the studio’. And that’s why I love him till this day because it pushed me to push my pen and I’m still one of the only MC that is out here that is spitting metaphors and making you think and I really don’t care if I get my credit or if I don’t. I don’t look at myself as a female rapper because I know what I do. And I would like to thank my fans…BET I love you, this is soo big, at one time black people were being blacked out on TV and now they own their own network. This is big, this is different…I just want to say that the other day, literally I didn’t tell anybody this, I really thought I was about to die. I was saying my prayers to die. And I didn’t want to even call the ambulance because I thought if I called the ambulance then it’s going to be on tmz. I would rather sit there and die.and it made me realize I don’t care anymore what anybody got to say. I’m gonna do me , I’m gonna do me. I hope and pray that BET honors authenticity.”
Gosh that was exhausting to listen to and write her whole dumb speech. I had to keep rewinding to get all her words right. This killed my brain cells brutally. Most people thought that Nicki Minaj was dissing Iggy Azalea, an Australian born rapper. Iggy is the only other main stream female rapper right now. Saying ‘no shade’ really doesn’t take away from the shade you just threw Nicki Minaj. I have never listened to a Nicki Minaj song with metaphors, and I do listen to her songs, that made me think deep. Also apparently Viacom bought BET for $2.3 billion, so it isn’t owned by African Americans anymore.

“If black is in the name, it must be black owned, right? The network was founded by an African American, Robert Johnson, in the ’80s, but in 2003, BET was sold to Viacom, which also owns MTV and VH1. The sale made Johnson one of the first black billionaires. Ballin’!”

All that talk about dying and not wanting to call the ambulance just because it might be on tmz…Oh pleaseee. Since when does this chick shy away from any attention? All those weird antics, outfits, wigs, 54th Grammy Award Pope performance and this chick hasn’t been “I’m gonna do me. I’m gonna do me” this whole time? Girl, Bye !
